Puente de Alejandro III sobre el Sena, París.

(Se trata de uno de los ejemplos más interesantes de las Bellas Artes de la Tercera República francesa, construido para) aliviar la densa circulación parisina, pero sobre todo por el proyecto de la Exposición universal de París. La primera piedra fue puesta por el Zar Nicolás II de Rusia el 7 de octubre de 1896, en presencia del presidente francés Félix Faure. En ese acto se celebraba la alianza franco–rusa, mantenida ya entre el Zar Alejandro III de Rusia, a quien el puente está dedicado, y el presidente Marie François Sadi Carnot. El puente fue inaugurado por Émile Loubet el 14 de abril de 1900, en conjunto con la Exposición Universal de París.

It is one of the most interesting examples of the Beaux-Arts made during the French Third Republic. It was built to alleviate the dense Parisian traffic, but above all for the project of the Universal Exhibition in Paris. The foundation stone was laid by Tsar Nicholas II of Russia on October 7th, 1896, in the presence of French President Félix Faure. The ceremony celebrated the Franco-Russian alliance between Tsar Alexander III of Russia, to whom the bridge is dedicated, and President Marie François Sadi Carnot. The bridge was inaugurated by Émile Loubet on 14 April 1900, in conjunction with the Paris Universal Exhibition.
